The Card Factory has poached Edinburgh Woollen Mill‘s finance boss Kristian Lee to be its new chief financial officer.

The greeting cards retailer hired Lee – who has been the Edinburgh Woollen Mill‘s chief finance boss for five years – to replace current finance boss Darren Bryant who announced his retirement in January after eight years with the company.

Lee‘s start date with Card Factory will be confirmed once his departure from 12-month notice period with Edinburgh Woollen Mill is finalised.

Lee has previously held senior financial and commercial roles at retailers including Brighthouse, Allsports and JD Sports.
