Card Factory has appointed former Costcutter finance chief Matthias Seeger as its new chief financial officer.

Seeger will replace Kris Lee who will leave the greeting cards retailer on 31 January.

Group financial controller, Simon Comer will join as chief financial officer in the interim, but will not be appointed as a director of the company.

Seeger is expected to join office on 22 May.

Seeger has been the CFO of Ambassador Cruise Line Limited since February 2022, having previously been CFO of Costcutter from September 2015 to September 2021.

Previous roles throughout his 31 year career include senior finance roles with Procter & Gamble, in Germany, the UK, Belgium and Switzerland, between 1991 and 2013.
