Bunnings’ head of IT transformation Henrietta Baring has quit the DIY retailer to join Dixons Carphone as its new IT director.
According to Retail Week, her newly-created role at Dixons Carphone will see her look after products and application development.
She had been with Bunnings’ UK business for 18 months, and was responsible for the digital transformation of Homebase when it was acquired by Wesfarmers last year.
Prior to Homebase/Bunnings, Baring was head of IT, commercial, trading and supply chain at Argos.
The news comes a month after Bunnings UK reported a disappointing first quarter of sales as its remaining 244 Homebase stores, which are gradually being converted into the larger Bunnings warehouse format.
