Selfridges has become the first retailer on the planet to launch its Christmas range, 145 days before Christmas Day.
The iconic department store in London unveiled its Christmas shop today, dubbed Selfridges Rocks Christmas.
The rock’n’roll themed range includes over 500 products, and will expand top 3800 products when phase two of the collection is launched on September 4.
It includes a £360 nutcracker, a specially designed line of Christmas stockings by Jan Constantine, ornate signs worth around £8500, and new destinations like The Tinsel Shop, and The Christmas Pet Shop.
“We’ve been opening the doors to our Christmas shop during the summer for years now and have become a real destination for fans of Christmas and festive decorations within and outside the UK,” Selfridges’ Christmas and home buyer Eleanor Gregory said.
“Some customers return to us year after year, excited at the prospect of discovering the new ranges and adding to their collections.”
“Our summer Christmas shop launch simply addresses the growing demand for convenience Christmas shopping outside the traditional Christmas season from many of our customers.”
