European Shopper Trends for Q4 2018

In their latest report, ShopperTrak provide statistical insight and commentary on shopper behaviour across key European countries during Q4 of 2018.Key Findings:

  • Many European retailers were adversely affected by political issues beyond their control.
  • Spain performed best, and overseas retail names are eager to open stores in the country in 2019.
  • France was impacted by the ‘Yellow Vest’ movement throughout November and December.
  • Footfall in the UK declined, as Brexit, low wage growth and inflation lower consumer confidence.
