Arket to recycle unwanted clothing

// The retailer allows customers to bring in unwanted clothing in all stores

Arket has announced it will launch a new recycling scheme at the end of April which involves taking clothes back in all of its stores.

The H&M-owned fashion retailer said customers will be able to take all unused or unwanted clothes, shoes and other textiles from any label to Arket stores, where they would be sent on to be recycled.

Arket’s partner I:Collect will be handling the new recycling scheme.

“We’re happy to offer our customers an easy way to recycle their unwanted clothes and textiles,” Arket managing director Lea Rytz Goldman said.

“Sustainability and circularity have been primary considerations in the development of Arket, so this feels a natural next step for us.”
