Calling all Harry Potter fans: Poundland is now selling invisibility cloaks although you may want to hurry because they seem to be, er, disappearing quite fast.

The discount retailer has stocked its shelves with the cloaks as part of its Halloween range, paying tribute to the infamous cloak which featured JK Rowling’s Harry Potter  series.

Many shoppers took to social media to praise the Poundland marketing team, while others showed excitement.

Poundland trading director Tim Bettley joked that the item should have featured in stores last Halloween but his team had trouble locating the stock.

“We intended to trial this item last year, but couldn’t find it in the distribution centre,” he said.

“But now we’ve found it, we think our customers will see the value, if not the cloak.”

The cloaks will appear in Poundland’s London, Bristol, Salford, Newcastle, Leeds and Birmingham stores.

The new offering is part of the retailer’s largest Halloween range, which features 270 products available in stores across the country with the cheapest item prices at £1.
