// Poundland makes major homewares move with launch of Pep&Co Home concessions
// It’s the retailer’s third major “shop-in-shop” concept rolling out to 800-plus stores from Thursday
// Pep&Co Home features bath towels, throws, photo frames and ornaments
Poundland has announced the launch of its new Pep&Co Home concessions, which will be rolled out across its stores from tomorrow.
The discount retailer said that all 800-plus stores will feature the new range from Thursday, with 120 larger stores getting completely new displays to show off Poundland describes as its latest “shop-in-shop” concept.
The new Pep&Co Home concessions were marked the biggest in-store change in its wider transformation scheme since Poundland rolled out clothing shop-in-shops to 300-plus stores.

The retailer said its homewares revamp has been 12 months in the making and brings contemporary and exclusive home and décor range alongside a major refresh of how the products are displayed and merchandised.
Pep&Co Home items include photo frames, ornaments, vases, plant pots, faux plants and flowers, candle holders, cushions bath towels and throws.
Poundland added that new lines will be added with each season.
The news comes after Poundland secretly put its new homewares ranges on display in a pop-up shop in London’s Baker Street, on Instagram and online.
Under the faux-Scandinavian brand “lündon pad” – an anagram of Poundland – the discount retailer filmed customers’ reactions to the new ranges.
Poundland said this week’s launch of Pep&Co Home now “solves the mystery that gripped influencers” as to what was behind the pop-up shop.
Following Pep&Co clothing and frozen & chilled foods, Pep&Co Home marks the third shop-in-shop concept to be rolled out across Poundland stores since it began its transformation programme.
Poundland’s “Project Diamond” transformation includes refreshing and refurbishing stores, new store opening and re-sites, extending the range of entertainment products and accelerating the rollout of chilled and frozen food to 60 stores.
“We’ve been working overtime on the introduction of Pep&Co Home to Poundland and we can’t wait to launch this week,” Poundland trading director Tim Bettley said.
“Pep&Co Home is a contemporary range, offering both quality and amazing value – from everyday items to the ornaments that bring the finishing touch to any room.
“And we know from our secret tests, customers are going to love the range, especially when they realise the value compared to other retailers.”
