The second phase of St James Quarter will open over the next 18 months, and this will mostly include the precinct’s restaurants, bars, a cinema, a W hotel, 152 apartments, and some additional retailers.

The opening of the first phase will tie in with the final phase of the government’s lockdown exit plans.

“This is a significant moment in Edinburgh’s history, and we can’t wait to share what lies behind the quarter with the people of Edinburgh and beyond,” Edinburgh St James development director Martin Perry said.

“A new normal demands a new kind of destination – a development that can respond to an ever-changing situation we are living with, one that serves the needs of its community as well as visitors to the city.”
