Cath Kidston appoints ex-Allsaints exec as new CCO

Suzanne Egleton is set to take on the newly created role of chief commercial officer at Cath Kidston from 12 July 2021.

Egleton joins from AllSaints, where she held the position of global digital and marketing director from 2018 to 2021.

She has also held digital roles at Ted Baker, Joules and French Connection.

Cath Kidston chief executive Melinda Paraie said: “With Suzanne’s background in the digital space as well as her extensive experience in building brand stories and global businesses, we are thrilled to have her part of the Cath Kidston team and play a key role in expanding the brand globally across all channels.”

Last year, Cath Kidston pivoted to become a digital first retailer, after collapsing into administration.

The retailer’s owner Baring Private Equity Asia bought the online, franchise and wholesale business in a pre-pack deal, resulting in the closure of its 60 stores and the loss of 908 jobs.

The retailer’s 100-plus stores overseas, especially in Asia, were untouched from the administration process.
