Morrisons launches fuel vouchers to cut costs for customers

// Morrisons is offering those who spend £40 in-store a coupon which can be used to get 5p off every litre of fuel purchased

Morrisons is helping its customers save money at the fuel pumps by offering 5p off every litre if they spend £40 on groceries in-store.

Customers who spend £40 in-store are being given vouchers to get a discount on their petrol or diesel at the store service stations.

The vouchers are being handed out up until October 9 and shoppers will have until Sunday 16 October to use them at one of the supermarket‘s 339 filling stations across the UK.

The news comes after the AA warned drivers of an increase in fuel costs.

Morrisons chief customer and marketing officer Rachel Eyre said: “Fuel prices are one of the biggest expenses people across the UK are facing as the cost-of-living increases. We want to help our customers save money wherever we can and hope this offer can help make budgets go a little further.”

In addition to the fuel deal, last week the supermarket slashed the prices on 150 of its most popular products in a bid to help shoppers amid the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Morrisons said the lower prices cover nearly 6% of its total volume sales and offer customers an average saving of 14%.
