Morrisons will expand its food-to-go concept store with its second Market Kitchen format due to open later this month in Bath.

The grocer has 18 Market Kitchen formats within its stores, offering freshly cooked food-to-go offers.

Morrisons said the Bath store, based on the site of a former New Look store, in the city’s SouthGate shopping centre, will open later this month.

It will offer the Market Kitchen concept as well as a grocery offer, including over 150 locally sourced products such as produce, dairy and BWS.

The Market Kitchen will offer The Char & Smoke flame-grilled meat and vegetarian dishes, Bird & Baste roasted chicken, curries, fresh pasta and pizza.

Customers are able to pick up ready-to-go options or choose to have the freshly cooked food delivered to their doorstep via Deliveroo.

“Our food offering will be trend-driven and often reacting to consumer behaviours and feedback, and will offer tasty dishes on the go at affordable prices,” Morrisons said.
