M&Co makes job cuts at Scottish HQ following administration

Following the retailer’s collapse in administration earlier this month, several staff members at M&Co’s head office in Scotland have been made redundant.

According to Drapers, up to 35 staff members at the embattled value retailer‘s head office in Inchinnan, Scotland have lost their jobs, including employees in its marketing department, IT department and production studios.

Administrator Teneo confirmed that redundancies have been made, but didn’t confirm the exact figures.

M&Co, which has around 180 UK stores, collapsed into administration earlier this month as rising costs pushed it over the brink.

The retailer has appointed Teneo Financial Advisory as administrator, which is exploring a sale of the business.
