Last year, the entertainment retailer’s ‘Exclusives Day’ saw queues and campers outside shops overnight, while some records rose five times in value.

HMV and Fopp managing director Phil Halliday said: “Every year we continue to be bowled over by the reaction to Vinyl Week, seeing people camping overnight outside the stores to make sure they get their hands on our exclusive records.

“This year we’ve got an awesome line-up of new vinyl from some incredible artists including Sam Fender, Sufjan Stevens, Bob Dylan and The Jam, as well as many more for music lovers to enjoy.”

He added that the popularity of the vinyl format continues to surge, with passionate fans from across all generations.

“What’s more, alongside these albums, music lovers can enjoy a great roster of entertainment planned though our HMV Live&Local programme where customers can discover the next big thing.”
