Sainsbury’s is launching a pop-up outside London Kings Cross Station today designed to give commuters inspiration on what to have for dinner

The “DINspiration” pop-up will offer the public 50p grab-and-go meal kits from its Inspired to Cook range, with all proceeds from the products going to Comic Relief.

The pop-up will run from 26 to 27 June during the peak commuting time of 5pm to 7pm.

It comes after research by Sainsbury’s found 74% revealed they think about dinner on their way home.

The grocer also found that 63% of Brits said they struggled to think of healthy meal options for dinner, with 32% saying lack of inspiration was the key reason why.

Meanwhile, 27% of Brits said they would vary their meals more if the process was easier and quicker, and 50% admitted they cook one to four meals on repeat every month.

Sainsbury’s director of corporate responsibility and sustainability Ruth Cranston said: “With so many people lacking dinner inspiration, we hope our pop-up adds a bit of flavour to commuters’ mealtimes”.

Under a wider initiative, the supermarket, will also donate 50p from all of its items sold from its Inspired to Cook range until 11 July.
