John Lewis hires marketing specialist to head up new customer planning team

John Lewis has named Andreas Nicolaides as its new head of customer planning & channels.

Nicolaides, who will join the high-street titan in October, was most recently general manager for online retailer N Brown and previously held roles at MoneySuperMarket and agency Carat.

At John Lewis, he will be responsible for modernising the retailer’s marketing across stores and online with the aim of “deepening relationships with its customers”.

“Andreas brings a wealth of experience as a data driven media and marketing specialist across a very wide portfolio of successful brands,” said John Lewis Partnership’s customer director Charlotte Lock.

“John Lewis already has huge loyalty from our customers and we are delighted that Andreas will be driving forward our marketing planning to deepen this relationship even further.”

As the business bolsters its newly created customer planning team, John Lewis revealed it would be downsizing its headquarters as it moves to a smaller office.

The news comes after the business said last year it was searching for a head office better suited to the rise of hybrid working, before its lease ran out in December 2024.

It hopes to start moving to its new headquarters from next summer.
