Net-a-Porter and Zalando expand supplier climate initiative

Yoox Net-a-Porter, Zalando and German ecommerce giant About You are expanding their joint sustainability platform that aims to educate brands on how to improve their environmental performance.

The trio have entered the second year of their Fashion Leap For Climate initiative, and from this month will extend invitations to join their learning platform to 250 of their brand partners, substantially more than the 55 who took part last year.

The Fashion Leap For Climate platform was launched in 2022 and supports fashion brands in measuring their carbon footprints and setting targets that are in line with climate science.

The initiative forms a key part of the Yoox Net a Porter, Zalando and About You’s climate journeys, as they work to support a reduction in their brand partners’ emissions as well as meet their own Scope 3 targets.

After last year’s programme, the brand‘s partners that took part reported an 85% increase in their understanding of science-based targets.

All of the brands that participated said they would recommend the programme, and that it helped them become better equipped to set science-based targets in the future.
