In pictures: Kurt Geiger opens Oxford Street flagship

Kurt Geiger has opened the doors to its new 2,916sq ft Oxford Street flagship store, featuring a novel concept that “celebrates London’s creativity and individuality”.

The 2,916 sq ft space at 272-274 Oxford St has been envisioned by Kurt Geiger’s chief creative officer Rebecca Farrar-Hockley and brought to life by architect Stefano Ripoli, featuring concrete ceilings and walls alongside rainbow-hued glass.

The inside houses the accessories retailer’s full range of pieces, footwear and gifting for men and women.

Chief executive Neil Clifford said: “This new store design is one of the key ways in which we are communicating our brand story and it is not by chance that we are showcasing this first in London, our home and the city that inspires us. We are thrilled to open on Oxford Street, one of the most iconic shopping areas in the city.”

A throng of footwear retailers are opening new stores on Oxford Street alongside Kurt Geiger, including Steven Madden and Geox, which is reopening its store on the famous strip, joining the likes of Carvela, Sole Trader and Clarks.

Earlier this year, Kurt Geiger set its sights on expanding into the US and Europe after securing a funding deal, estimated to be valued at £150m.
