Former John Lewis Watford store to be filled by value chains

Atria Watford shopping centre is welcoming a host of new value retailers, which will fill the former John Lewis store.

B&M, Choice Discount, and a combined Peacocks and Bonmarché store will all take space in the former John Lewis

B&M will open a 21,000 sq ft shop later this year on the lower mall level that will stock the brand’s range of goods including groceries, homeware, and electricals.

A spokesperson for the retailer said: “We’re incredibly excited about our new store opening coming to Atria Watford and we’re feeling extremely positive about being able to create more jobs for local people.”

The Choice Discount store will span 5,000 sq ft and is set to stock brands and designer products across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and accessories.

Meanwhile, the Peacocks and Bonmarché combined store will measure 10,000 sq ft and will offer both brands’ clothing and accessories.
