UK retail bodies Faire and Spring Fair have unveiled a new campaign, encouraging independent retailers to make their voices heard.

The marketing drive ‘Voices of Retail’ puts retail firms at the “centre of the conversation” and asks them to help shape the future of the industry.

As part of the campaign, Spring Fair and Faire will launch a national survey asking for insights from companies across the UK and will use the findings to compile a report. To take part, retailers can complete a five minute questionnaire in person at Spring Fair or online.

The survey will close 2 March 2026.

Charlotte Broadbent, UK general manager for Faire said:  “After two years of partnership with Spring Fair, we wanted to do something different for 2026. Something that puts retailers in the driving seat and goes beyond issues to actions.

“Voices of Retail is a rally cry. We’re asking independents to tell us how they’re innovating, what’s changing, and what the rest of the industry can learn from them. Together with Spring Fair, we reach more retailers than any trade association in the country. That’s a huge platform, and we’re handing them the microphone so together we achieve more.”

All retailers who take part in the survey will be entered into a competition to win a ‘Golden Ticket’ which includes an all-expenses-paid VIP experience to Autumn Fair 2026, including accommodation, travel, personal onsite support, meals and £300 in Faire credits.

A selection of retailers will also be asked to participate in an in-depth discussion. A total of 2000 consumers will also be asked to take part in the research.
