British outdoors and country lifestyle retailer Purdey is launching a pop-up at Harrods in September to mark the start of the game season.
The heritage brand is running a boutique at the department store from 7 September until 8 November.
The boutique, which will be located in menswear designer collections on the store’s second floor, will sell a curated edit of “the most iconic Purdey products”.
These will combine pieces from its sporting collection, the global sporting range, and its lifestyle collection.
Highlights will include its new Kalahari jacket, a number of pieces incorporating the brand’s technical tweeds, its new light-weight luggage collection, its high-performance Vatersay cape, a selection of polo shirts, and range of accessories such as caps, scarves, socks and ties.
Purdey CEO Dan Jago said: “More than merely a pop-up store, I consider this endeavour a meeting of minds, a collaboration between two bastions of British culture.
“Harrods is, needless to say, the world’s preeminent luxury department store, so for Purdey to be given an opportunity to showcase our wares in such inimitable surroundings it is indeed an honour.
“Likewise, Purdey has become one of the foremost names in field sports and country pursuits.
“Our brands were born just 20 years apart, and over the past two centuries have come to redefine the notion of rarefied craftsmanship.”
