Mango has opened a new store in Chester, creating over 16 new jobs, as it seeks to expand its presence across the north of England.
Based in Eastgate Square, the new shop offers the fashion chain’s latest woman and man collections, including clothing, footwear and accessories.
The new 6,200 sq ft store reflects Mango’s new Med concept – an interior design inspired by the brand’s Mediterranean heritage and culture. This features “natural textures, warm tones and sustainable materials” designed to “create a bright and welcoming shopping space”.
The launch forms Mango’s second location in Chester and comprises part of the company’s 2024 to 2026 4Es strategic plan, which aims to drive sales and store expansion.
This includes a roadmap to expand the business’s store presence across the UK.
This year, Mango’s UK expansion is focusing on southern and northern England, with new locations opening in Cheltenham, and Kensington and King’s Road in London, in addition to the Chester site.
Mango international regional director for the UK and Ireland Fiona Cullen said: “Our new woman and man store in Chester is a confident step forward for Mango, building on the strong progress we have made over the last year to broaden the appeal of Mango to even more customers across the UK.
“Chester is the perfect home to introduce our woman and man collections to customers in the north of England, in a store format that truly represents the Mediterranean soul of our brand.”
