Very has launched a new multi-category autumn advertising campaign, developed largely by its own internal brand and creative teams.

The online retailer, owned by The Very Group, kicked off the campaign last week, with the aim of highlighting the breadth of its department-store offer across fashion, beauty, electricals, gaming and other categories.

Created by Very’s in-house brand team and internal creative agency HelloStudio, the campaign uses the Very’s cube logo as a portal into a range of products, brands and payment options.

More than 20 brands feature across the creative, including Mango, ghd, Samsung, Nintendo and Nike.

The hero 30-second TV advert is soundtracked by Jamiroquai’s 1999 hit Canned Heat, while the wider campaign will run across TV, video-on-demand, radio, social media, press and online.

Very has also introduced a new brand endline, ‘that’s the Very thing’, designed to underline the range and flexibility available through the retailer.

The Very Group chief customer and commercial officer Sam Wright said the campaign was intended to demonstrate the full scale of Very’s product and brand offer, alongside its flexible payment options and convenience.

He added that the business was particularly proud that the campaign had been produced almost entirely in-house, bringing together teams across marketing, retail, creative and production.

HelloStudio, The Very Group’s internal creative agency, works across ecommerce imagery and full-funnel campaigns, using technology including virtual production, AI-generated environments and automated content workflows.

HelloStudio head of creative Julie Phelan said the campaign builds on Very’s established brand identity and playful creative style, while demonstrating what can be achieved by combining talent from across the business.

Production Factory supported film production for the campaign, while Zenith handled media planning and buying.
