Aldi teases Christmas advert as Kevin the Carrot searches for missing Cauli Dog

Aldi has teased its upcoming Christmas advert, revealing that Kevin the Carrot is returning for another festive adventure as he searches for his family’s missing pet, Cauli Dog.

The discounter has released a 10-second teaser across its social media channels, showing Kevin and his daughter Chantenay launching a search for their beloved companion.

The clip opens with Chantenay wishing for Cauli Dog’s safe return before the pair are seen putting up ‘LOST’ posters in a bid to track him down.

The teaser ends without revealing the pet’s whereabouts, setting up a mystery ahead of the supermarket’s full Christmas advert launch.

Cauli Dog became a fan favourite in last year’s festive campaign after carrying the diamond ring for Kevin’s proposal to Katie.

Meanwhile, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard has sparked speculation after being spotted in Barking wearing a dramatic cauliflower coat.

The performer, who sported a Cruella de Vil-inspired outfit complete with black gloves, towering heels, sunglasses and a black-and-white wig, has prompted fans to question whether the appearance is linked to Cauli Dog’s disappearance.

One social media user questioned the coincidence on X, prompting Aldi to respond: “We’ve got our top dogs on the case, @thedannybeard.”

Aldi UK chief commercial officer Julie Ashfield said: “Cauli Dog stole the nation’s hearts last Christmas, so we know people will be desperate to find out where he’s got to.

“Kevin and Chantenay are determined to bring their little floret friend home in time for Christmas, but we’re keeping the rest of the story firmly under wraps for now.”

Beard, who recently hosted the Attitude Awards and is set to portray Paul O’Grady’s alter ego Lily Savage in the upcoming stage production Savage, is known for their theatrical fashion choices.

However, Aldi has yet to confirm whether the performer’s appearance forms part of its Christmas campaign.

The teaser marks the start of the supermarket’s festive advertising activity, with further details of Kevin the Carrot’s latest adventure still to be revealed.
