Superdrug has opened its biggest store in the North-West, based in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.

Shoppers in the new 8095 sq ft health and beauty store will find a fragrance counter, beauty studio area, and Superdrug’s new own-brand cosmetics range, Studio London.

TV personality Charlotte Dawson appeared at the launch, which is set to create 20 permanent and temporary jobs.

The Trafford Centre centre director Simon Layton said: “Superdrug is a much-loved high-street giant and extremely popular with our customers, so we’re delighted that the brand has invested in a new, larger unit.

“We’re sure visitors will be impressed by the stunning, new-look store and wowed by the impressive range of health and beauty brands on offer”.

The launch of the store comes after the re-opening of the Manchester Arndale Superdrug shop earlier in the year.

Back in April, the retailer unveiled plans to to invest in 25 new stores during 2023, as it sought to expand its bricks-and-mortar retail footprint.

The venture is expected to create more than 570 jobs nationwide which the business said would create a “seamless customer experience, providing vital support for high streets and local communities.”
