Aldi is set to invest £370m to open 40 new stores, as part of its two-year expansion programme.
The discounter will develop new stores in Southam in Warwickshire, Hastings in East Sussex and Amersham in Buckinghamshire.
The move forms part of the £1.6bn investment which was announced last year, as the retailer works towards its long-term ambition of opening 1,500 UK stores.

The announcement comes after a successful expansion scheme in 2025, which saw the retailer launch new stores from Kirkintilloch in East Dunbartonshire to Eastbourne, East Sussex, and locations such as Fulham Broadway in London and Deeside in Wales.
Giles Hurley, CEO at Aldi UK and Ireland, said: “Our unwavering commitment is to make high-quality, affordable groceries accessible to everybody.
“But we recognise that there are still areas without an Aldi store, so our expansion plans for 2026 are designed to address some of these gaps as we work towards our long-term goal of 1,500 UK stores.”
