Tesco could struggle to make Christmas deliveries if a strike across nine of its warehouses goes ahead.

The orders, already thought to be largely booked, are scheduled to be dropped off from December 20.

Shop workers’ union Usdaw has threatened to start a strike on the same day, unless the supermarket provides a “decent pay rise” to help workers cope with inflation.
