Slazenger has unveiled Slazenger Padel Exeter, a 35,000 sq. ft padel club located at Haven Banks, Exeter.
The club launched on 31 August at Haven Banks retail park, marking another step in Slazenger Padel’s ambition to become the UK’s leading padel powerhouse.
The club features nine panoramic padel courts, two premium pickleball courts, expert coaching at all levels, communal social spaces – including a member’s bar and café – as well as a pro shop and equipment hire hub.
The facilities “strengthen” the brand’s portfolio of “multi-purpose destinations that blend sport, socialising and elite facilities,” according to Slazenger.
The Exeter opening follows successful launches from the business in Leeds, Swindon and Blackburn.
A Slazenger Padel spokesperson said: “The opening of Slazenger Exeter is an important milestone as we continue our mission to become the UK’s go-to padel provider.
“Partnerships with localised facilities like Haven Banks are central to that ambition, allowing us to work with established community destinations to make padel more accessible.
“By combining Slazenger’s expertise in racquet sports with Haven Banks’ strong community roots, we have created a multi-purpose destination gives more people the opportunity to discover and enjoy the sport.”
In July, Lululemon partnered with Trafford Centre to launch a premium pop-up padel court, to celebrate the opening of its larger new store at the shopping centre.
Padel has experienced exceptional growth in the UK, particularly since 2023, and is now moving from a niche racket sport into the mainstream. According to the Lawn Tennis Association, participation grew from 15,000 in 2019 to 860,000 in 2025. Global sports brands are seeing the sport as a strong doubles partner.
