Marks & Spencer‘s menswear and kidswear director has left the company – and country – to head up the Country Road Group in Australia.
Scott Fyfe, who has been with M&S for 20 years, will replace Matt Keogh as chief executive of the retail company owned by South Africa-based Woolworths Holdings.
Fyfe begins in that role in early 2017, making him the third chief executive of the upmarket retail chain since 2014.
He became menswear trading director at M&S in November 2012 and absorbed the kidswear division into his role in May this year.

Before that, he spent a year as trading director for womenswear and has also been director of M&S‘s commercial and operations, and director of sourcing.
“Scott will leave with our thanks and best wishes,” an M&S spokeswoman said.
“He has had a great career at M&S and we understand that this was an opportunity too good for him to turn down.”
According to Drapers, the Fyfe‘s responsibilities will be split between the menswear and kidswear divisions on an interim basis until a replacement is found.
