Fashion and lifestyle retailer Joules has recruited Paul Burden as its new head of licensing, poaching him from a similar role at Ted Baker.

Effective from the star of November, Burden will be planning Joules‘ growth both internationally through its retail, wholesale, ecommerce and licensing channels.

He will also be responsible for building, developing and exploring licensing opportunities which align with the retailer‘s brand.

Burden spent five years at Ted Baker, where his most recent role was as product licensing director for its non-apparel categories such as footwear, eyewear, watches and home accessories.

Prior to that, he was menswear design manager at Next.

“We‘re delighted to welcome Paul to the Joules team,” Joules chief executive Colin Porter said.

“His impressive experience and understanding of Joules‘ strong brand heritage and values mean that he is well placed to explore and develop the business‘s licensing offering as we enter this relatively new stage of growth.”
