Nick Robertson has sold 300,000 shares in ASOS, the online retailer which he co-founded, for more than £15.5 million.

Despite stepping down from his role as chief executive in September 2015, Robertson maintains a position at the company as non-executive director.

The shares were sold at 5175p each, earning him a hefty sum – yet Robertson still owns more than five million shares in the etail giant, which equates to a 6.23 per cent stake in the business.

ASOS raised its financial predictions by nearly a third recently as international sales skyrocketed, shooting up by 52 per cent in the four months to December 31.

It now forecasts its full-year sales to be around 30 per cent higher than previously expected.
