Online retail company Yoox Net-A-Porter has re-hired Alessandra Rossi to be its new president of the off-season division.

Rossi will replace Luca Martines, and will be responsible for the strategic direction and global expansion of YNAP‘s off-season division.

Joining the group executive team, Rossi will report to chief executive Federico Marchetti and will be based in the London offices of YNAP, which owns online fashion retailers Yoox, The Outnet and Net-A-Porter.

Prior to re-joining YNAP in her new role, Rossi worked in fashion ecommerce for 20 years with luxury companies including Bulgari.

When she joined YNAP, she held roles ranging from operations manager and head of buying to commercial director and managing director of Yoox before resigned in 2015 for family reasons.

“I am thrilled to rejoin the company at such an exciting time for our business and the industry,” Rossi said.

“YNAP‘s investment places the off-season business in a unique position to drive forward the experience for both our customers and brand partners on an even larger global scale.”

Rossi will work with Martines to ensure a seamless transition into the role, while Martines prepares to draw on his three years of experience as Yoox‘s regional director Asia Pacific to help accelerate YNAP‘s expansion in the region by taking a seat on the boards of YNAP‘s Japanese and Hong Kong subsidiary.

“I would like to thank Luca for the great job he has done in driving the off-season business forward,” Marchetti said.

“It is my pleasure to welcome Alessandra back as a key contributor to our executive team.

“Alessandra‘s deep knowledge of the fashion industry and the inner workings of ecommerce, as well as her excellent management skills and entrepreneurial mindset, make her the perfect candidate for this crucial job.”
