Nasty Gal, the online fashion retailer that came out of nowhere to be bought for £16 million by ecommerce giant Boohoo, has become the focal point for a new Netflix original series.

Based “loosely” on the New York Times bestselling autobiography of Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoroso, Girlboss is 13-part series that details the unlikely creation of the company.

Aside from providing some top-quality binge watching for the fashion savvy, the story explores Amoroso’s (played by Britt Robertson) journey through entrepreneurship in a male-dominated and often ruthless industry, exploring the problems both success and failure in the business world bring.

The show is produced by Amoroso herself alongside Chalize Theron, and was created by 30 Rock’s Kay Cannon.
