Sports Direct has announced plans for a brand new single store in Scotland that will house all of its retail brands under one roof.
To be located in a unit adjacent to Morrisons on Auchinlea Way, near the Glasgow Fort shopping centre, the first multi-brand Sports Direct in Scotland will house all of the company’s brands, including Flannels, USC, Everlast Fitness Club and Sports Direct.
It’s slated to open in 2018.
The new shop will also see the construction of a three-storey steel frame extension, bringing the retail space to a total of 180,000sq ft.

The new store is part of Sports Direct’s wider plans for its stores, which include a focus on securing freehold assets where its brands can potentially be brought together in a single location.
“Sports Direct represents one of the UK‘s most successful retail roll outs and the company‘s focus on creating a house of brands for its new store designs is a key development for the business,” said Richard Oldfield, the retail framework director for store designers ISG.
“The new Glasgow outlet brings a new gym concept – Everlast Fitness Clubs to Scotland, as well as the country‘s second ever Flannels store.”
