Former Missguided online CEO Gareth Jones joins Moss Bros

Moss Bros is due to welcome Missguided’s former online boss Gareth Jones as a non-executive director later this month amid numerous senior moves.

Jones, who left his role as online chief executive at Missguided in May last year after just eight months, is due to join the menswear retailer on January 14.

“As well as his strong digital and online experience, he brings broad strategic, brand and commercial skills, along with international consumer insight,” Moss Bros chair Debbie Hewitt said.

Prior to his role at Missguided, Jones worked at Shop Direct for five years, joining as group retail director in 2009 before working his way up to deputy chief executive by 2014.

Meanwhile, Missguided’s chief digital officer Jonathan Wall is also due to leave, having announced his departure in late December following the completion of an annual contract.

According to Retail Week, Wall will now join the security business Simplisafe as UK general manager, and a direct replacement will not be appointed.

Elsewhere, former head of ecommerce at Dawsons Music Nicola Tibbs will be appointed as head of digital at Missguided, tasked with filling the boots of its former ecommerce director Mark Leach who departed in July.
