Primark’s new collection supports (RED) fight against AIDS

Primark has partnered with (RED) to support the Global Fund’s fight against HIV and AIDS, by launching a collection of clothing and accessories in all Primark stores.

Primark will donate 10 per cent of the purchase price of every item sold to the Global Fund, or a minimum of £750,000, to support life-saving HIV and AIDS programmes.

The athleisure, streetwear collection channels the (RED) maxims, ‘InspiRED’, ‘CultuRED’, ‘EmpoweRED’ and includes menswear, womenswear, kidswear and accessories.

“The collection makes it possible for Primark customers to get fashion-forward clothing and accessories that not only look great but also help save lives,” (RED) chief operating officer Jennifer Lotito said.

“We thank the team for their passion around our exciting new partnership.”

Primark chief executive Paul Marchant said: “Through the collection, we will support programmes that deliver prevention, testing, treatment, counselling and care services in sub-Saharan Africa.”
