Lacoste announces milestone production of 100,000 face masks

Lacoste has reached a milestone of producing 100,000 face masks in just a few weeks to help fight against the spread of coronavirus and pledged to reach 200,000 masks.

“We want to thank all our volunteers who work every day to protect lives,” Lacoste said in a statement.

“As the fight is not over, the discreet heroes in France will intensify the production to reach 200,000 masks.

“We would also like to celebrate the great Lacoste family that continues to mobilize around the world.”

Lacoste said its factory in Argentina and EREN Holding, its Turkish partner, “have also adapted to the manufacture of medical masks and gowns”.

The fashion retailer and brand also stated it would continue its efforts to produce masks “beyond April and for as long as the health situation calls for it”.

Two production lines will be dedicated to this in its factory in Troyes, France “to produce the protective equipment essential for a return to normal life”.
