“Our partnership with Uber Eats means we’re able to offer rapid delivery in nearly 100 new locations, saving even more of our customers an extra trip.”

Since the onset of Covid, grocers have rushed to offer on-demand services with Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and Co-op working with Deliveroo, while Sainsbury’s, Asda and Iceland sell via Uber Eats.

Tesco, Ocado, Sainsbury’s and Iceland also run their own speedy delivery services. Meanwhile, a raft of third parties including Getir, Gorillas, GoPuff and Zapp are vying to win on-demand spend.
