Reiss has appointed a former Flannels director as it looks to add further third-party premium retailers to its proposition.

The fashion retailer hired the former Flannels head of menswear elevation Ben Hurren as its head of buying for menswear, womenswear and kidswear.

Hurren was the head of menswear elevation between February 2021 and May 2022.

Prior to this he was senior commercial manager at Flannels from November 2020.

Hurren has more than 15 years of experience with luxury retail specialists such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, and Matchesfashion.

His mission at Reiss is to identify and bring on board “like-minded brands and category specialists” to complement the brand’s offering.

Next bought a 25% stake in Reiss last year in a deal worth £33 million. Reiss is run by former Next buying director Christos Angelides.

Reiss is owned by US private equity firm Warburg Pincus and had been up for sale prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
