Morrisons has urged shoppers to not fall for a scam which is circulating that claims the grocer is offering free food boxes.
The supermarket chain has sent a warning to shoppers over a Facebook page to remain vigilant.
A Facebook page called ‘Morrisons Fans’ has been reported by a few shoppers after they noticed it was asking for them to fill in their personal details.

The page claims they are helping to support shoppers during the cost-of-living crisis by offering a free box of food worth £35, with a £15 voucher also being available in some of the boxes.
Shoppers are being asked to like and comment on the post sharing the free box of food, as well as being asked to provide their personal details to be in with a chance of winning one.
Multiple shoppers began warning others over the potential scam causing Morrisons to step in and confirm it has no affiliation with the page or the “free” offer.
The grocer has asked shoppers to report the page and to take action if they have provided any details online.
The post read: “Hi everyone, we are aware of a page that is offering free food boxes if you provide your personal details.
“This is not our page as we only post from our verified Facebook account and we would advise reporting it on Facebook when you see it.
“If you are concerned about any details you have given via a link sent from this page, we would advise contacting Action Fraud. Thank you all for letting us know about this and have a lovely evening.”
