Harrods is to trial an in-store cosmetics recycling scheme at one of its H Beauty stores as part of the retailer‘s sustainability strategy to reduce waste and increase circulatory across the business.
The scheme, in partnership with MyGroup, will be tested at its Milton Keynes location for three months starting from 14 January.
Customers will be encouraged to bring in used beauty, fragrance, and skincare products to the store to be recycled.
This also includes nail polish products and fragrance bottles which are typically considered ‘unrecyclable’.

The scheme will be affiliated to the retailer’s MyBeauty rewards programme, with customers incentivised to recycle empty cosmetics to access a range of experiences and benefits, both online and in-store.
