Morrisons has brought back its More Card loyalty scheme to replace its My Morrisons app following a successful trial.

The Morrisons More scheme can be used as a physical card or app and allows customers to earn points from selected products and counters in store and online as well as at Morrisons petrol stations.

Once a customer has 5,000 points, they will receive a ‘Morrisons Fiver’, which can be redeemed on a future shop, in store or online. Points can also be earned on selected products and fuel.

Members of the loyalty scheme are also offered discounts on certain products and brands.

Morrisons chief customer and marketing officer Rachel Eyre said: “Customers have been telling us how much they have missed the Morrisons Fivers and so we’ve brought them back as part of a radical overhaul of the Morrisons loyalty scheme.”

Last week the grocer kicked off its fourth round of price cuts since the start of the year.

Chief executive David Potts told The Telegraph the move was the first of many “deflation dividends” that shoppers would see over the next few months.

White, wholemeal and granary rolls will be 56% cheaper from Monday, whilst cornflakes will drop 46% in price and coffee will fall 27%.
