Uniqlo is set to open a new store in Liverpool One next Spring as it ramps up its regional expansion in the UK.
The 1,430 sq m store will sit across two floors and stock its LifeWear range across mens, womens, kids and babies.
It is the latest opening as Uniqlo, which has 20 stores in the UK, ramps up its expansion in the country by targeting regional cities.
Uniqlo UK chief operating officer Alessandro Dudech said: “As Uniqlo continues to expand across the UK, we are dedicated to selecting the best locations to host our brand.
“Investing in Liverpool, a leading UK shopping destination was a natural next step, and Liverpool One was the obvious choice, given the unique opportunity to open a prominent, showstopping space on Paradise Street.
“We are excited to continue to open into new cities and introduce our Lifewear offering to the people of Liverpool for the first time, and look forward to connecting with our new customers during Spring next year.”
Grosvenor director of asset management Rob Deacon added: “UNIQLO is yet another international fashion powerhouse taking a showcase space on Liverpool ONE’s Paradise Street.
“Creating a bold, compelling hub of best-in-class international brands has long been our strategy, playing to the needs and wants of our diverse mix of domestic and international visitors, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming Uniqlo to Liverpool for the first time.”
The Japanese fashion retailer opened the doors to its new Coal Drops Yard store last month, with the 800 sq m store housed inside a grade II listed Victorian coal drops shed.
