Halfords has appointed Iain Hayes as operations director within its Commercial Fleet Services business.
Hayes joined the business on 27 April and brings more than 20 years’ experience in the mobile service industry.
He has previously held senior roles at DHL, LOXAM, Sofology and Tructyre, with a focus on operational leadership, customer delivery and building large-scale mobile service teams.
In his new role, Hayes will focus on improving service delivery across Halfords’ UK network, enhancing the customer experience and supporting the development of its commercial fleet teams.
Halfords said the appointment forms part of its wider investment in long-term growth, operational efficiency and stronger customer partnerships across its fleet services division.
Halfords Commercial Fleet Services managing director Chris McShane said: “Iain brings a wealth of experience in operational leadership and customer delivery.
“His appointment reflects our continued investment in high-quality service for our commercial fleet customers, and his leadership will be key as we enhance service delivery and support our customers’ evolving needs.”
Hayes added: “I’m excited to be joining the business at such an important time. There’s a strong platform already in place, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues and customers to continue building a differentiated, customer-focused service offering.
“We understand both the operational complexity of running a commercial fleet and the increasing cost pressures our customers face. Ensuring we have the best team in place to support them is critical, and I’m looking forward to building on that.”
Halfords Commercial Fleet Services operates from 92 locations and is supported by more than 500 mobile service vans nationwide.
