The Very Group has partnered with InPost UK to offer customers a new locker delivery option across Very and Littlewoods.

The multi-category online retailer will now allow shoppers to collect orders from InPost’s network of more than 14,000 lockers across the UK.

The new service will include both standard delivery and a next-day option for customers who need orders sooner.

It follows Very’s rollout of InPost lockers for returns earlier this year, which has already seen more than 30 per cent of the retailer’s returns processed through the network.

InPost research recently found that 58 per cent of consumers now believe lockers are a better option than home delivery, while two in five UK adults use them regularly.

The Very Group chief operations and technology officer Sean Hallows said: “Here at Very, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience and the introduction of InPost lockers does exactly that.

“We know that the families we serve are tight on time, so to be able to give them the option to collect their delivery at a time that suits them, from a convenient location, really does offer a new level of ease.

“The expansion of our delivery network is just one of the many ways we’re enhancing the customer experience to deliver on our purpose of helping families get more out of life.”

InPost UK chief commercial officer Jon Nicholson added: “Very is a retailer that genuinely understands its customers and extending our partnership into outbound delivery made complete sense.

“When over 30 per cent of their returns were already coming through our locker network, that told us the demand was there and customers were actively choosing it.

“More and more retailers are recognising that giving customers a genuine choice over how they receive their parcels creates a better experience for everyone.”

InPost locker delivery will be free on standard orders over £30.
