Halfords has appointed former Morrisons commercial leader Lee Mountain as commercial director for motoring and services.
Mountain joins Halfords today, and will be responsible for helping shape the commercial strategy across its motoring products and services as the retailer targets its next phase of growth.
He joins from Morrisons, where he led the supermarket’s £1.2bn impulse division.
Mountain has also held senior commercial roles at Asda and brings experience spanning business transformation, supplier partnerships and driving commercial growth.
Halfords Retail managing director Jess Frame said: “We are delighted to welcome Lee to Halfords and to our retail leadership team.
“He brings extensive commercial and retail experience, a strong understanding of customers and an impressive track record of translating strategy into sustainable growth.
“Lee’s collaborative and people-focused approach will be a real asset as we continue to strengthen our motoring and services offer, deepen our supplier partnerships and make it easier for customers to access the products and services they need.”
Mountain added: “Halfords is a business that people see as synonymous with all things motoring and cycling. It has a rich legacy, and I am incredibly excited to join the team as the business enters the next phase of its journey.
“I have been extremely impressed by the people I have met so far and the expertise across the organisation. I am looking forward to working with colleagues and suppliers to build on those strengths, deliver growth and achieve great things together.”
