Dreams will be funding extended opening hours of mental health charity Mind Infoline.

According to Dreams, the line will be open from 6pm on 9 October and 9am on the 12 October. The extended hours will give the public access to mental health information and advice 24 hours a day over World Mental Health Day weekend.

The scheme is part of the bed retailer’s three year partnership with the charity and Scottish for Mental Health. As part of its partnership Dreams will donate £5 from every purchase made online and in-store’s between 9 and 12 October to the charities.

Siobhan King, chief marketing officer at Dreams, said: “Helping people sleep better is what we’re all about at Dreams, and we know how closely connected sleep and mental health are. For a lot of people, it’s at nightime when worries feel their loudest and it can be hardest to switch off.

“That’s why I’m really proud that Dreams is funding extended opening hours for Mind’s Infoline over the World Mental Health Day weekend.”

Dreams will also launch a pop-up at The Cube at Battersea station to explore the pressures keeping people up at night. The activation will run on 10 October from 10am to 8pm. Emma Mills, wellness expert, will be available on the day to offer mini drop sessions to visitors to explore journaling, meditation and mindfulness.

Mental Health First Aiders, trained by Dreams, will be on hand for any visitors who would like to talk.

Neeleema Boodhram, helplines manager at Mind, said: “Through our services we know that mental health problems don’t keep to a schedule, and neither do the worries, questions and challenges that can come with them.

“Dream’s funding to keep Mind’s Infoline open throughout the World Mental Health Day weekend will make a real difference to those that reach out to us for support. This weekend, our trusted information and support will be available whenever they need it, day or night.”
