Quiz Clothing is expected to shut a further series of shops this weekend, following an additional six closures.

The company’s joint administrators Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs from Interpath Advisory are continuing to wind down the retailer’s store estate this month, Drapers understands. Branches throughout the UK have reported final clearance sales and imminent closures.

A series of shop closures have occurred in recent weeks, with the business’s Aberdeen, Inverness, Warrington, Basingstoke, Bracknell and Dunfermline sites having already stopped trading.

The last trading day for Quiz’s Hanley and Mansfield stores will be 13 June, while its Eastbourne and Carlisle sites are set to close on 14 June with limited stock remaining.

Additionally, Quiz’s Northampton site could shut next weekend if remaining stock sells through, sources told Drapers.

Its Irvine and Leicester shops are anticipated to stop trading by the end of next week.

Various other stores are expected to shut before the end of June. The brand’s Portsmouth and Castleford shops are anticipated to close on 20 June, while its Livingstone store will shut before the end of the month.

Despite this, a number of shops remain open with no confirmed closure dates, such as Braehead, Derby, Newtownabbey, Sheffield, Manchester Arndale, Trafford Centre, Stirling, Telford, Lakeside and Newry.

Retail Gazette has contacted Interpath Advisory for comment.

The latest string of closures come after Quiz collapsed into administration on 5 February.

The company’s administrators are planning to close the remainder of its 37 shops by the end of June.
