London could soon be home to a Zalando flagship store

London could soon be home to one of the first flagship store for Zalando, with the online fashion retailer eyeing the possibility of opening one in a number of key cities.

Other possible cities for the German retailer‘s flagships include Paris and Berlin, according to reports.

“We have proper fans in the metropolises who spend much time with us and order a lot,” Zalando co-chief executive Rubin Ritter told German publication Manager Magazin.

“It could be interesting for them to also experience the brand offline.”

Although the idea is still in early stages, it would not be the first physical stores Zalando would open, as it currently operates a number of outlets in Berlin, Frankfurt and Cologne.

Zalando has been investing in expanding its presence both on and offline over the past few years, such as the acquisition of online retailer Kickz in March, which runs a number of physical stores.

Founded in Berlin in 2008, Zalando has grown to become one of Europe’s leading online retailers, operating in 15 markets around the world, including the UK.
