YNAP hires Emma Mortimer to head up The Outnet

Online fashion group Yoox Net-A-Porter (YNAP) has hired Emma Mortimer to the new managing director for The Outnet.

In the newly created position, Mortimer will be responsible for The Outnet’s buying, merchandising, sales, marketing and creative teams.

She will report to Alessandra Rossi, president of off-season at YNAP.

Mortimer is no stranger to YNAP, having worked at Net-A-Porter from 2009 to 2015 in various senior positions, including leading The Outnet on an interim capacity.

Prior to her return to YNAP, Mortimer consulted for Matchesfashion, helped launch The Modist, and was a fashion specialist for the government’s Department for International Trade.

“I am delighted Emma is returning to The Outnet in this pivotal new role,” Rossi said.

“With her broad business knowledge across luxury ecommerce and her extensive expertise in customer experience, she is the ideal candidate to drive the international growth of The Outnet, enabled by our new technology and logistics platform.”
